FibreHub VPN
To access some external systems e.g. client or HowTech cloud resources, you may need to connect via the FibreHub IP address due to firewall restrictions.
If you always work from the office, you will not need to use VPN to access those resources.
If you need to connect to those cloud resources while working remotely, you will need to set up a VPN.
To set up VPN on your system, install OpenVPN or an app that is compatible with OpenVPN configuration files (e.g. Visocity on Mac), then download "fibrehub.ovpn" from the Howell Technoloy Ltd Teams channel in the Files > Documents > General > Staff network and software folder.
Once you have imported the .ovpn config file, you will need to contact the syadmin team, so that we can create user credentials for you, within the FibreHub firewalls. We can complete the process and get you to verify functionality via a direct Teams call.
